Ceiling Enclosure
For the fiber to the
desk or fiber to the zone applications
FCI offers the ‘Zone Box’.
This 2’x2’ enclosure mounts
into a standard T-bar ceiling and
houses up to 12 Fiber Distribution
Modules. This allows you to eliminate
the closet and create a cross connect
closer to the workstation. Once you
are within a reasonable distance from
the workstations; you can simply use
off the shelf, preterminated jumpers
to go to the desk. An extra large
label provides an abundance of room
for labeling and fiber identification.
The Zone Box is available with key
locks as well as simple ¼ turn
latches. The swing down door is easily
removed without tools for unrestricted
access to the zone box. Cable management
is provided for both the higher fiber
count MTPÔ cables as well as
the two fiber however, it must be
separately supported by chain or rod
as well. Once closed, the zone box
is almost invisible. It blends in
and is pleasing to the eye as well
as providing an easy and cost effective
cross connect center.
